Dr. Beunza has been working with the Banking Standards Board (BSB) over the past two years, and in 2017 led a series of workshops over a five-month period for BSB member firms on the application of ethnographic (observational) techniques to help understand and manage organisational culture. In leading this programme, Dr. Beunza drew on his award-winning research on social interaction on derivatives trading floors to share and teach specific techniques that participants could apply within their own firms.

Feedback from participants on this programme has been extremely positive, and we would now like to offer a further opportunity for member firms to learn more about this topic and consider whether it would also be useful in the context of their own organisations. This forthcoming event will provide an introduction to the subject and a sense of how it can be applied practically in financial services.
